Safeguarding and insurance incidents compliance is the responsibility of our compliance officer Jerry Swift, who should be informed of any incident relating to the safeguarding of children or adults at risk or any event which might be an insured event or have legal or insurance implications.
It is extremely important that when such an event occurs, as many details as possible are written down as soon as possible after the event while memory of it is still fresh, as such evidence may have to be used in legal processes afterwards, when memory alone may have faded or otherwise be incorrect.
In addition, a report should be made to BKFA, who maintain a record of kite-related incidents. The BKFA report form can be found here.
